A fruit crumble is a definite way to satisfy the sweet tooth and add another serving of fruit to your low carb diet. A fruit crumble offers the luscious flavor of a fresh fruit pie without the fuss of making a crust. Celebrate the arrival of apples with this rich-tasting crumble.
Apples contain high levels of pectin, a type of fiber, which is particularly good at carrying toxins out of the body. They also have good levels of potassium to aid heart health.
Any fresh or frozen fruit can replace the peach slices or apples specified in this low-fat dessert recipe.

Method :
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C. Peel,
core, and slice the apples and put into a small pan with the water.
Bring to a boil, then cover and let simmer, stirring occasionally, for
4-5 minutes, or until just tender. Remove from the heat and drain away
any excess liquid. Stir the drained peach slices into the apple and
transfer the fruit to an ovenproof dish.
-
Meanwhile, combine the flour, oats, and
sugar in a mixing bowl. Rub in the spread with your fingertips until
the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
-
Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over
the fruit and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until
golden brown. Serve warm with custard made with low-fat milk, or
low-fat plain mascarpone cheese, or yogurt. This dessert is best eaten
on the day it is made — any leftover crumble should be stored in the
refrigerator and consumed within 24 hours.
