Anti Aging Juices Recipe

A good source of vitamin C, this refreshing anti-aging juice will neutralize a substantial amount of  harmful free radicals, protecting your tissues against age-related damage.

Variation :
This same principle can be used to obtain nutrients from other fruits.

Ingredients :

Serves 1

  • 2 oranges

  • 1 lemon

  • 5ml / 1 tsp granulated sugar

  • 75ml / 5 tbsp water

  • slices of orange and lemon, to decorate

  • crushed ice, to serve

Natural Anti Aging Diet - Citrus Spring Anti-aging Juices

Method :

  1. Wash the oranges and lemon and then pare off the rinds with a sharp knife, leaving the bitter white pith behind. Remove the pith from the fruit and discard it.

  2. Put the orange and lemon rind in a heavy pan, with the sugar and water. Heat gently over a low heat and stir gently until the sugar has dissolved.

  3. Remove the pan from the heat and press the orange and lemon rind against the sides of the pan to release all their oils. Cover the pan and cool. Remove and discard the rind.

  4. Purée the oranges and lemon and sweeten by adding the cooled citrus syrup over the fruit pulp. Leave aside for 2-3 hours for the flavors to infuse.

  5. Strain the fruit, pressing to extract as much of the juice as possible.

  6. Pour into a tall glass filled with crushed ice and decorate with slices of orange and lemon.
