Greek Feta Salad Recipe

Feta is the most well-known of all Greek cheeses and is an important ingredient in Greek salad. This white, crumbly cheese is a brined curd cheese made from either sheep's milk, goat's milk or a blend.

In this healthy and easy-to-make Greek feta salad, feta cheese pairs wonderfully with fresh juicy tomatoes, crisp tender cucumber, thinly sliced red onion, crumbly feta cheese and plump black olives. Not only will you love the richness of flavors that this salad provides, you will also be eating healthily.

Ingredients :

Serves 4

  • 4 tomatoes, sliced

  • ½ cucumber, peeled and sliced

  • 1 small red onion, sliced thinly

  • 4oz / 115g feta cheese, cubed

  • 8 black olives

  • a few grape leaves

     

    For the dressing :

  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • salt and pepper

Healthy Easy Salad Recipe - Greek Feta Salad

Method :

  1. To make the dressing, put the oil, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper in a screw-topped jar and shake together until blended.

  2. Arrange the grape leaves on a serving dish and then the tomatoes, cucumber, and onion. Sprinkle the cheese and olives on top. Pour the dressing over the salad and serve.
