This apple
and pear crumble recipe is gluten-free, wheat-free, yeast-free and
egg-free.

3 medium apples (450g)

3 medium pears (690g)

¼ cup (55g) caster sugar

¼ cup (60ml) water

Method :

Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Grease
deep 1.5-liter (6-cup) ovenproof dish.

Peel, core and quarter apples and pears; slice
fruit thickly. Combine fruit, sugar and the water in large
saucepan; cook, covered, about 10 minutes or until fruit is
just tender. Drain; discard liquid.

Meanwhile, make crumble topping. To
make crumble topping, blend or process ingredients until
combined.

Place apple mixture in dish; sprinkle with
topping. Bake crumble about 25 minutes.

Baking Tips
Storage : Crumble should be eaten soon after it is made,
otherwise the topping will become soggy.
Variation for coconut
crumble : Prepare half the amount of basic crumble
mixture; stir in ½ cup (40g) shredded coconut. |
